| Day | Destination | Description |
| Days 1-3 | Cinque Terre | Don some hiking boots and take on the long coastal path that connects the quaint, pastel-coloured villages of the Cinque Terre. The towns of Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso are sure to delight, and there is plenty of time to discover their charms. The vistas along the way are breathtaking, with olive grove-covered mountains plunging into the azure sea. The following day, get off the beaten track with a challenging trek to Portovenere for more sensational views out over the Ligurian Sea from the church of San Pietro. |
| Days 4-5 | The Garfagnana | Jump on a bike to explore the delightful Tuscan town of Lucca, taking in its beautiful churches and piazzas on a ride on and around the city walls - a unique way to get to know the town. Then get ready for a long hike through the untouched wilderness of the Garfagnana. On a clear day, there are dazzling views of the Tyrrhenian coast from the twin peaks of Monte Forato. Spend time hiking the limestone scenery of Monte Forato in the Apuan Alps before resting weary legs in the tiny town of Gallicano. |
| Days 6-8 | Chianti Region | On Day 6 we make our way to the world-renowned medieval city of Siena, rich in history and culture. We hire bicycles to cross the undulating hills of Tuscany. The landscape is known for vineyards criss-crossing hills, olive groves and medieval hilltop villages - and for its excellent wines and delicious local cuisine. The light in this region is astounding, and no view ever remains the same from one hour to the next. So make the most of it, feasting al fresco on regional delicacies - including a glass of Chianti, of course. |
