Day 1MumbaiStroll Mumbai's local markets and bazaars. Marvel at the Dhobi ghats and stroll along Chowpatty Beach at sunset, stopping to try local street delicacies.
Days 2-3AurangabadSee the magnificent Kailasa Temple, the largest monolithic structure in the world.
Day 4JalgaonThe caves at Ajanta took over 600 years to create and are a marvel of exquisitely detailed carvings, pillars and entrances.
Days 5-6OmkareshwarTake a jeep to Omkareshwar, the most important holy place to Hindus. Ancient and sacred temples are scattered among the ghats and palaces in this most magical of towns.
Days 7-8ManduVisit the Roompati Pavillion or cycle out to the Jahaz Mahal. Built between two lakes, this phenomenal 4-storey structure has a 7-ft deep pool on the first floor that looks like a beautiful coiled snake.
Day 9BhopalTake a walk around Bhopal and see Taj ul Masjid, one of the largest mosques in Asia, before catching a gorgeous sunset over the lake.
Day 10SanchiA melting pot of Buddhist architectural forms, expect to see fine examples of creative art and sculpture, temples, monasteries and stupas in Sanchi.
Days 11-12OrchhaBursting with temples and palaces, Orchha is a lovely town to relax in. Stroll by the river in the evenings or perhaps take a cooking class with our local friends.
Day 13Overnight TrainPerhaps call in at Taragram, a papermaking plant created to give tribal women a chance to work outside of traditional jobs, before catching an overnight train.
Days 14-15DelhiJoin the crowds in the bazaars of Delhi's Old City and grab an aloo gobi in this energetic city.
