| Days 3-4 | Punakha | Cross the Dochu La Pass and take in spectacular views of the Bhutan Himalayas. Stop to learn the interesting history of Chimi Lhakhang, or 'temple of the divine madman'. |
| Day 5 | Gangte Region | Journey across the Pele La to Gangte. Explore Phobjikha Valley, a truly rural area without telephones or regular power. |
