| Days 1-2 | Nairobi/Lake Manyara | The skyscrapers of Nairobi disappear in the distance on this journey into the African wilderness. Cross the border and head to Lake Manyara National Park. The legendary tree-climbing lions here are a highlight of any safari and the huge herds of zebra, wildebeest and buffalo make a perfect welcome to Tanzania. |
| Days 3-4 | Serengeti National Park | The golden grasses of the Serengeti stretch as far as the eye can see. Venture across the plains and around the kopjes (rock formations) to uncover the many animals that make this park their home. Drive out at dawn and dusk - at these times, both predator and prey are at their most active - so there is a better chance to bear witness to the unrelenting cycle of life on the African savannah. Tonight, relax in the comfort of the lodge and discuss the amazing sights seen on the plains. |
| Days 5-6 | Ngorongoro Crater | An early drive, perhaps past the Simba Kopjes, gives a chance to see the region?s big cats basking in the morning sun. Later, wander into the famous Olduvai Gorge, where Homo Sapien skeletons almost 20,000 years old were discovered and take a game drive across the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater. Home to endangered black rhinos, a remarkable number of lions, leopards, elephants and hippos, you?ll be blown away by this wildlife haven. |
