| Days 1-2 | Phnom Penh | Wide boulevards, lively wats and faded French architecture effects a warm welcome to the country's capital. Experience the richness of Khmer civilisation in the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. Later, uncover a darker period of Cambodian history with a visit to S-21 and the infamous Killing Fields. |
| Days 3-5 | Siem Reap/Angkor Wat | Explore the extraordinary ruins of Angkor and, with the help of a local guide, unravel the history behind each structure. Be sure to see the crumbling temples of Ta Prohm, tiny Banteay Srey and to catch the sunrise over world-famous Angkor Wat. |
| Days 6-7 | Ho Chi Minh City | Vietnam's largest city is filled with vibrant sights and sounds. Dinner at a local restaurant is a delicious introduction to Vietnamese cuisine and a day trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels is a chance to experience Viet Minh life in wartime. |
| Days 8-9 | Mekong Delta | Travel along the great Mekong and watch rural everyday life in the 'rice bowl' of Vietnam, a fertile region famous for its tropical fruits. Enjoy renowned Delta hospitality at a riverside homestay and head out early the next morning to visit the floating markets of Cai Be. |
| Days 10-11 | Nha Trang | Head to Nha Trang for a relaxing sojourn on the shores of the South China Sea, starting with a cycle tour around town. Island-hop, swim, snorkel and sample the day's catch on an island boat trip. The harmonious mix of mountains, islands, sea and sand will have you totally relaxed in no time flat. |
| Days 12-14 | Hoi An | Once a major trading port, Hoi An still retains a distinct old-world feel. The charming Old Quarter will delight, local cuisine is delectable and the skilful tailors can whip up a suit in no time. |
| Days 15-16 | Hue | Enter the gateway to Vietnam's royal past and stroll through fragrant groves of frangipani and pine to the elegant tomb of Tu Duc, the last emperor of independent Vietnam. |
| Day 17 | Hanoi | Pay respects to Uncle Ho at his imposing Soviet-style mausoleum and peruse the shops in the evocative Old Town, before taking in a magical water puppet performance. |
| Day 18 | Halong Bay | A leisurely overnight cruise takes us over turquoise waters and soaring limestone peaks. |
| Days 19-20 | Hanoi | Browse or buy lovely locally-made ceramics en route to Hanoi, where a final feast awaits. Hoan Kiem Lake reflects modern office buildings towering over old Buddhist temples and a tangle of ancient streets. |
